Hi Jazz fans, my name is Bri and here’s a little bit about myself that I’d like to share. I absolutely love dancing and have been doing it since I was 5 years old. I trained at the Winner school in ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, and tap. In high school I was a member of the Cottonwood High school drill team, and after that I continued my education at Arizona State University. At Arizona State I majored in Kinesiology while being a member of the Spirit Squad and competitive dance team. As a member of the dance team I had the opportunity to travel to ICU world’s competition in Orlando, Florida to represent team USA dance. We received gold medals for our dance routine, making it an experience I’ll never forget! For the past three summers I have also had the opportunity to be a member of the professional dance company Divinity under direction of Krissie Edwards. Needless to say, dance is a huge part of my life!
When I’m not busy dancing for the Jazz, I am going to school at the University of Utah and teaching dance at The Winner School. At the U of U I am finishing up my bachelor’s degree In Exercise and Sport science with a minor in nutrition. In the future I hope to have a career in physical therapy or work in a wellness center. For fun I love spending time with my loved ones, and being an aunt to my cute little nieces and nephew. I enjoy working out, boating, cooking, playing games, and traveling…preferably somewhere warm.
I knew at a young age that I wanted dance to be a part of my job, and what better way than being a Utah jazz dancer! It is my first year as a Jazz dancer and I am having the time of my life. I have incredible support from my family, who are all huge Jazz fans. As a big Jazz fan myself, I love being able to watch and perform at the games. I am so grateful for the experience. Go Jazz!
