I’ve been training in all styles of dance for over 17 years. At age 18, I became a member of the Utah Blaze Dancers (AFL) where I spent two seasons (2008-10) and served as team captain. I’m currently a 3rd year veteran Utah Jazz Dancer where I’ve enjoyed the opportunity to work with many skilled choreographers and dancers.
I’ve enjoyed the many opportunities I’ve had to travel the world and do what I love. Last year I was able to visit Taipei, Taiwan where I was able to represent the NBA while teaching and critiquing at a national cheer competition. Most recently I returned from Italy where I was able to represent the NBA and the Jazz in the 3X Tournament. I’ve had the opportunity to teach and dance throughout Europe and Asia and combine my two passions: travel and dance. I also spent the summer in India on a humanitarian mission working in leprosy colonies and working closely with leprosy afflicted families. While in India, I was able to get involved with the Promethian Spark program that teaches life skills to under privileged kids through the art of dance.
Besides dancing, I keep myself busy as a student at the University of Utah. I’m currently pursuing a degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Fitness Leadership and a minor in Nutrition. I am also continuing my training in Ballet. I am currently teaching dance and group fitness classes at Westminster College, Gold’s Gym and several private dance and fitness studios across the Salt Lake Valley. I’m the author of the Fit N Fab health and fitness blog and enjoy sharing my knowledge with my readers. I also run my own business (InMotion Dance, LLC.) hosting dance camps and conventions, bringing world famous choreographers and teachers to Utah. I’m happily married and love traveling, hiking, reading, cooking, and spending time with my family!
